HERE'S HOW IT HAPPENED!
Long story short . . .
I was sitting in my car, frustrated over the day-to-day
 mundaneness of my Corporate America office job. I started thinking about what I could make and sell to keep busy and earn extra money. As fate would have it, the idea to create my very own line of scented candles came to mind. I had no idea where to start, so I did what we all do, I enrolled in YouTube University as a full-time student!
I watched millions of YouTube videos, (well, more like thousands, but it sure felt like millions). I purchased a ton of supplies and I started working on
my candle-making skills. At the time, I had no clue what a vegan candle was. Boy, did I have *a lot* to learn!
Days, weeks, and months into my journey, I realized "my little candle hobby thing" had evolved into a true passion.
I think it's safe to say, I ate and slept candles.
In the spring of 2017, April 19th, to be exact, D. Kay by Tina Renee was established!


WHAT'S EVEN MORE EXCITING!
We've taken our handcrafted vegan candles to the streets of
Southern California!! We took a 10 x 6 trailer and transformed it into California's very 1st mobile candle boutique
 "Whiffs on Wheels"!!
